Harry the hirer Productions is looking for an enthusiastic and technically skilled Lighting Technician to join our onsite team at ILUMINA, one of Sydney’s most exciting premium event venues.
We’re looking for someone with strong grandMA3 skills, a creative eye and a passion for lighting who wants to develop their abilities and make their mark on this incredible venue.
The Role
Working alongside our Technical Operations Manager and onsite AV team, you’ll be involved in delivering high-quality events while helping develop the venue’s lighting capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Programming and operating lighting using grandMA3.
• Working directly with clients to interpret their lighting design ideas and bring them to life onsite.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting lighting equipment and control systems.
• Supporting the wider AV team with event setups, operation and pack-downs across lighting, audio and vision.
• Helping ensure the venue and its technical systems are always presented to the highest standard.
About You
• Trained and experienced in grandMA3 programming and operation.
• Sound technical knowledge of professional LX systems, Art-Net networking and DMX control.
• A good understanding of lighting design and a creative approach.
• Experience in live events, theatre or corporate AV production.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and willing to learn and get involved across all areas of production.
• Comfortable working flexible hours around event requirements.
