At Lux Events, we’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Video Technician who knows complex video systems inside out — from advanced processing and signal distribution to LED, projection, broadcast and media-server technologies.
Based in Perth, Lux Events delivers technically complex corporate events, concerts, festivals and experiential productions across Australia and internationally. Our integrated team brings event management, production management, technical production and content together to create exceptional live experiences.

What you’ll be doing
Make complex video systems work seamlessly.
- Review production designs and provide specialist advice on video system design, technical workflows and systems integration.
- Configure, install, test and operate sophisticated video systems for live events.
- Deliver specialist expertise across video control, processing, projection, LED display systems, broadcast cameras and video networking.
- Work closely with production managers to translate creative concepts and technical specifications into practical solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex video, signal distribution and systems integration issues during preparation, rehearsals and live operation.
- Share technical knowledge and support the development of the wider production team.
- Maintain exceptional technical standards while prioritising workplace health and safety.
Showcase your technical expertise
This is a senior role for someone who knows their gear and knows how to make it perform.
You’ll bring:
- At least five years of professional experience working with projection systems, LED screens, broadcast cameras, video networking and signal distribution.
- Advanced knowledge of Barco E2 control systems (preferred), or comparable video processing and switching platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to design, configure, troubleshoot and operate complex video systems in live production environments.
- Experience with Disguise, Modulo Pi, Pixera, Pandora’s Box or similar media-server platforms.
- A strong understanding of video signal formats, routing, processing, networking and systems integration.
- Relevant technical qualifications, certifications or equivalent industry experience.
