Electro-Voice has introduced the EVOLVE G2 portable powered column loudspeaker series, comprised of new EVOLVE 30M G2, EVOLVE 50 G2 and EVOLVE 50M G2 models that retain the compact design and setup of the original series while adding higher maximum SPL, expanded connectivity and updated control features.
The EVOLVE 30M G2 is stated to deliver up to 125 dB SPL in a 42.8-pound (19.4 kg) package with an integrated mixer. The EVOLVE 50 G2 and EVOLVE 50M G2 reach up to 129 dB SPL, with the 50M including a built-in mixer. All three models have a 120 x 40-degree coverage pattern and include redesigned subwoofer handles and a full-color LCD.
Connectivity updates include switchable 48-volt phantom power for condenser microphones, QuickSmart Link for connecting two speakers with an Ethernet cable, and extended Bluetooth range. The systems also retain Advanced Feedback Suppression, ducking and onboard effects, with the mixer-equipped models providing additional FX options.
“We never asked what was good enough, we asked what professionals actually need,” says Andy Grunloh, director of Product Management at Electro-Voice. “EVOLVE G2 is the answer, with more performance, smarter control, and a system that grows with you. The people who live and die by their gear will feel the difference immediately.”
QuickSmart App 3.0 provides wireless control from iOS and Android devices, including multi-speaker management, True Wireless Stereo configuration, speaker grouping and over-the-air firmware updates. The app also supports the EVOLVE 70 and EVOLVE 90 and allows different models in the EVOLVE range to be controlled together. System parameters can also be adjusted directly from each loudspeaker using the rear-panel control knob and full-color LCD.
The EVOLVE 30M G2, EVOLVE 50 G2 and EVOLVE 50M G2 are available worldwide from October 22, 2026. The systems include a three-year warranty, extendable to five years with product registration. QuickSmart App 3.0 is available as a free download for iOS and Android.
