Play a key role in bringing performances, events and productions to life through expert technical delivery, innovative lighting design and exceptional venue support.
What we’re looking for
- At least five years’ experience in a multi?stage arts centre, production company or theatre environment.
- Operational competency across audio, audio?visual, rigging and general technical production.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with a strong understanding of WHS obligations.
- Experience with ETC EOS, MA grand or Hog lighting systems, as well as CAD/Vectorworks and lighting visualisation tools.
- Rigging certification, LR Class Driver Licence, First Aid/CPR, White Card, EWP (>11m) and Test & Tag certification (or ability to obtain).
- Certificate III in Live Production Services and Certificate IV in Lice Production & Technical Services (or ability to obtain)
- Strong customer service skills, a positive and team?focused attitude, and the ability to work under pressure.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead all lighting and systems operations across CPAC, MMP and other Cultural Services venues.
- Design, interpret and deliver lighting requirements for clients while managing resources and timelines effectively.
- Operate and maintain lighting, audio, AV, staging and rigging systems to a high professional standard.
- Develop standard lighting rigs and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Oversee and deliver maintenance schedules for lighting, systems, staging, fly and rigging equipment.
- Supervise casual technicians during bump?in/out, performances, events and maintenance periods.
- Work directly with clients, hirers, tour managers and performers to ensure seamless, safe and high?quality event delivery.
- Maintain backstage areas, support inductions, advise on set electrics, and act as Fire/Chief Warden when required.
