Venues all around the country are busy with the annual dance season and Glen St Theatre is no exception. Thankfully, they have an arsenal of Show Technology gear to keep the variety of looks turning over.
Recently they took delivery of more Prolights Astra Wash7Pix, the compact and fast LED moving wash light that is taking the market by storm, and these have been invaluable for this hectic season.
“We now have nine Astra Wash7Pix hung and eight on the floor,” explained Damian Barber, Technical Coordinator at Glen St Theatre. “They have a fair bit of punch and a nice zoom range that allows us to go from a fine beam to an impressive wash. They are also quiet, which is important, and have some funky built-in effects.”
Glen St Theatre’s 24 x ShowPRO FusionPARs were deployed for a full stage wash with Damian describing them as a good, little grunt horse. Their ShowPRO FusionBARs are run softly to add a bit of variety.
Damian hired in some Martin MAC Encores from Chameleon, placing six overhead and two out front for gobo effects, as well as Martin ELP Profile FC fixtures.
