Brisbane’s Largest Interactive Lightshow, The Enchanted Garden, is back for the 2021 Season!

Holographic animals saving the world, a duel between nature and a mysterious dark force, a sound reactive digital art exhibition with a sustainability message and synchronised light shows made from thousands of pixel mapped lights—The Enchanted Garden at Roma Street Parkland has it all.

Running from the 1-23 of December, Roma Street Parkland opened to a sold-out crowd and morphed into a breath-taking enchanted garden featuring nearly 8000 square metres of custom made lighting, audio, special effects, digital light sculptures, high-powered lasers and newly developed interactive projections and hologram technology delivering a world-class digital art experience in the heart of Brisbane.

Featuring 1.5 kilometres of awe-inspiring installations interconnected throughout the park, the immersive and interactive journey was created and delivered by the international award-winning artists and producers at LASERVISION. This new experience explores the balance between humans and nature.

“Our ambition was to present The Enchanted Garden in a beautiful and innovative way, whilst creating many ‘WOW!’ moments for audiences. Our goal was to elevate and achieve a high level of creativity and entertainment for the experience this season,” said LASERVISION Creative Director, Juan Zubiaga.

“Inspired by nature and the native flora and fauna of the region, we created a narrative that incorporated these elements, transforming the space into an immersive and interactive story that is new to the park this year, as we share the importance of sustainability and the role we all play in taking care of nature.

We are very pleased with the excitement and feedback shared by the community and that they have enjoyed the interactive creations and experiences we have designed for them at Roma Street Parklands,” Zubiaga continued.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said this spectacular show is a highlight of the holiday season and “The Enchanted Garden is a magical experience that will delight kids and impress adults alike. It really is a must-do for anyone looking to be transported into a captivating world of lights, sounds and interactive digital art displays.”

LASERVISION utilised many types of lighting technologies throughout the park incorporating tens-of-thousands of LED lights, kilometres of illuminated fibre-optics, high-powered LASERS, Interactive Projection Mapping created with 8 high-powered Epson and Panasonic projectors, thousands of individually addressable pixel-mapped LEDs, over 100m2 of interactive digital exhibits with custom LiDAR and acoustically reactive interfaces all synchronised with LASERVISION’s control platform.

The Enchanted Garden’s sold-out run will end on the 23rd of December but will be back for the 2022 season next year.
