ETC ION 1000 To Tame The Shrew

In preparation for their upcoming four-month national tour of The Taming Of The Shrew, Bell Shakespeare decided to purchase a new lighting console. As the show visits a variety of venues with a wide range of lighting equipment the console needed to be flexible, reliable and suitable for regional venue touring.

“The ETC ION 1000 was the ideal choice due to its size, cost and its flexibility,” remarked Jack Horton, Technical Coordinator for Bell Shakespeare. “The fact that the platform it runs off can be used on both the ION and the EOS is useful; if we ever need to upgrade we don’t have to reprogram the show.”
