The Role
As an Audio-Visual Technician, you’ll be involved in all aspects of event delivery, including:
- Event preparation and equipment management
- Audio, lighting and vision system setup
- Operating live event production equipment
- LED screen, projection and video system operation
- Lighting console and audio desk operation
- Bump-in and bump-out activities
- Loading and unloading production vehicles
- Warehouse preparation and logistics
- Equipment maintenance and fault finding
- Supporting safe operations and WHS compliance
- Leading and mentoring crew members (Level 4-6 positions)
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 Technicians
- Passion for live events and production technology
- Some experience or training in AV, events, entertainment or production
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently when required
Levels 4-6 Technicians
- Minimum two years of industry experience
- Strong audio, lighting and vision knowledge
- Experience operating professional production systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead projects and mentor crew
- Confidence working in fast-paced live event environments
Essential Requirements (or ability to obtain)
- Current Driver License
- White Card
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
- Audio Visual, Production or Entertainment qualification
- Experience with professional audio, lighting and vision systems
- Forklift License
- Rigging License
- High Risk Work License
- HR or MR Truck License
Experience with, or an interest in working with:
o Digital audio consoles
o PA systems and loudspeaker deployment
o LED video walls
o Projection systems
o Lighting consoles
o Intelligent lighting fixtures
o Scenic and staging systems
o Networking and show control systems
o Event power distribution
o Live streaming and video production
