SERVICE TECHNICIAN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Due to increased demand for our products in WA we are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual to join our WA team in the role of Service Technician to support our customers and their equipment.
The successful candidate would demonstrate a genuine love for lighting and passion for the technologies we sell and be excited to put their skills and knowledge to the test on our customer’s production equipment.
The Service Technician shall repair, maintain and service equipment sold by Showtools International and out-of-warranty products from other manufacturers as required.

Candidates for this role must have these essential skills:
• Sense of humour and desire to help others with a smile.
• Demonstrate a genuine love of Lighting technologies and all forms or stagecraft and the technologies that we supply.
• Requires a minimum qualification of Electronics – Trade Certificate III or equivalent practical experience in related industries.
• Proven electronics fault-finding skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• High-level organisational skills, ability to prioritise, organise and multi-task.
• Pride of workmanship showing attention to detail and accuracy.
• Desire to work in a team and for a family orientated business where you are not just a number on a spreadsheet,
• Experience of professional lighting products and their application and a desire to learn and expand your knowledge.
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work efficiently within a team environment and with minimum supervision.
• Excellent verbal, computer and written skills
• Current C Class WA Licence or ability to acquire one.
• Ability for circuit board re-work skills, coupled with the ability to read, interpret and explain circuit diagrams – preferred.
• Prior experience in the professional entertainment lighting industry preferred.

This role will be based out of our centrally located Perth Office in Bayswater and may also require travel as required.

An attractive salary package and working conditions will be offered based on the applicant’s experience.
