Senior Project Manager

With over 200 years combined experience in our Venue Engineering & Installed Systems teams they have worked extensively in all types of venues – from the major Australian performing arts centres through to school auditoriums, from professional theatres to the largest of Convention and Exhibition centres.

Your Future Position 

Due to sustained growth we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Projects Division – someone looking to take the next step in their career. We are looking for someone who can contribute significantly and be responsible for leading the team and managing large projects and their entire lifecycle from feasibility and planning through to delivery and handover.

You will be working with subject matter experts and stakeholders across our divisions, as well as procurement and finance. 

Become a part of the Projects Division and play a key role leading the group using your project management skills and experience. 

Essential to achieving consistent results are your planning, scheduling, budgeting, organising and problem solving skills together with your strong communication skills to draw in resources to assist your goals. 

About You

Ideally you will have: 

  • Minimum five (5) years proven project/contact management experience involving installation of audio visual, commercial drapes, heavy mechanical and electro-mechanical. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in a field related to engineering, building, construction or theatre systems and relevant industry experience.
  • At least 5+ years on site experience (including construction sites).
  • Proven record of success delivering building and theatre projects, and advanced project management skills, including in planning, design management, stakeholder management and procurement.
  • Substantial relationship management ability/experience, including with consultants/contractors with strong diplomacy and interpersonal and influencing skills and experience.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring project managers.
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies including cable installations and structural integrity of materials.
  • Well developed skills to read and interpret plans, drawings, design documentation and specifications with an attention to detail when preparing material lists and project plans.
  • Commercial acumen together with a strong understanding and capacity to meet client requirements with diplomacy and sensitivity to solving complex problems.
  • Proven practical experience with work health and safety principles and practices, including but not limited to SWMS’s and risk assessments.
  • High-level organisational and administrative skills; the ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate a multiple of tasks against strict deadlines.
  • High-level of PC literacy, including proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word and Outlook and understanding of CAD programs.
  • Excellent costing/estimating base showing accurate margin delivery, coupled with solid commercial acumen with a strong financial focus.
