Senior Audio Visual Technician

An exciting opportunity for a passionate Audio Visual professional to join the team at Cairns Convention Centre. Reporting directly to the Audio Visual and Innovation Director, you will lead the Audio-Visual Technical Team to deliver high standards in Audio Visual production while providing a strong customer focus. If you’re passionate about events and working in a professional production environment, then we want to hear from you!

  • Leading a Team in delivering high levels of customer service with positive outcomes and solutions. 
  • To lead the AV Production Supervisors and the AV Technical Team in Audio Visual production delivery.
  • Provide and develop processes in delivering efficiencies across all AV production elements.
  • Ensure Audio Visual equipment and systems are operational and always maintained and functional.
  • Provide and maintain a high level of Audio-Visual technical support and training across the AV production team

  • You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • You will have experience with working and leading large production teams.
  • You will have demonstrated a high level of competency in operating audio visual equipment.
  • You will have proven ability in providing exception customer service.
  • You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, written and verbal.
  • You will have experience in delivering training and mentorship.
