The sound, lighting and AV equipment Rockstar Productions utilise is upgraded through continual investment in the latest technology and one company they turn to for gear, albeit the less glamourous in-your-face gear, is Omegatech.
Recently they invested in some Omegatech Mini Stageboxes that John Yost, Managing Director of Rockstar Productions, favoured due to their smaller footprint accommodating smaller stages and their substantial lower cost than the larger ones.
“We bought seven of the 8way stage boxes with all interconnects and a road case for upstage power at our larger events,” commented John. “Last month, we purchased three of the Mini Stageboxes for downstage power and have another system on order.
“They perform great and look the part – by getting rid of the cheaper power boards at the front of the stage we’ve cleaned up the look. Also, they use fewer interconnects than traditional power board arrangements and that’s a big plus with our crew.”
Currently, John owns solely Omegatech Stage Power Distribution but he plans on purchasing some of the specific 3phase distribution products soon.
“I like the Omegatech products because they are simple and Australian-made with all the correct approvals,” he added. “The professional quality of the finished product is great, they’re safer, linkable and the ordering process is easy with quick delivery.”
