Motorised Lighting Truss System for Hills Adventist College

Hills Adventist College has recently upgraded its school hall to enhance the quality of its events and performances by installing a motorized lighting truss system. The installation was supplied and installed by PHANTOS, a trusted name in lighting and audiovisual solutions.

The new system features a 10m span of EGT294 Box Truss with an Energy Chain collection bin. The truss was configured to accommodate 8 LED Fresnel lighting and 2 LED Moving Head lighting fixtures. The system is operated using 2 Mode 611 Pro Chain motors and a 4-way Rackmount Controller along with a wireless handheld pickle for easy control.

One of the biggest advantages of motorized lighting truss systems over fixed lighting trusses is that they can be adjusted easily and safely. By using a motorised truss, the lighting system can be quickly raised, lowered or moved to different locations according to the event requirements, without the need for manual labour. This can save valuable time and effort while also reducing the risk of accidents that may occur while moving heavy lighting equipment.

Another significant advantage of the motorized lighting truss system is that it offers superior performance and durability. The EGT294 Box Truss is TUV certified and offers a higher level of strength and stability as compared to traditional truss systems. The truss system can support heavier loads, making it ideal for larger events or performances.

PHANTOS also ensured that the installation was carried out smoothly and to a high standard. The team of experienced installers and technicians carried out the installation with great care, and a certificate of structural adequacy approved by a structural engineer was issued upon completion. The customer was provided with shop drawings well in advance of the installation, which ensured that all aspects of the installation were communicated beforehand, minimizing the chances of any surprises or delays during installation.

Overall, the new motorized lighting truss system has transformed the Hills Adventist College school hall into a high-quality performance space. The system’s ability to quickly and safely adjust the lighting setup ensures that the hall is always ready for different types of events. The new system is also highly durable, ensuring that the school hall can continue to host events for many years to come.
