Mandylights recently completed our latest permanent light artwork install in Penny Lane UTS. Based on the Lomandra native Australian grass, their design features twenty-one unique, handmade light fittings that bathe a new laneway space within the University in a beautiful, ever-changing array of colours and patterns. The artwork makes particular use of the vertical space in addition to the reflections from adjacent buildings to increase the sense of space within the narrow laneway.
Mandylights say it has been a pleasure to work with the UTS team to design and deliver such an immersive artwork. Mandylights designed, prototyped, built, programmed and delivered the Lomandra Grasses entirely in-house lead by Adrienn Lord. Congrats to the whole team for a spectacular job well done.
