Late in 2022 Get Rigged again put their hands deep into the darkest recesses of their pockets and purchased 44 D8+ CM chain hoists from Showtools International.
Renowned for delivering complex orders for customers, Rob Runko and his team were only too happy to assist Get Rigged with the purchase.
Dave Crowson, CEO, Get Rigged’s warehouse manager, was heard exclaiming “How much?” when he received the initial quote. “There goes my last kidney.”
But once Dave had committed to his purchase he realised that he had actually made a very astute purchase. These chain hoists were greedily lapped up by other production companies that hadn’t jumped on the D8+ bandwagon sooner.
The robustness of the CM brand in the entertainment industry is legendary and now with an IP66 rating makes them ideal for outdoor events, concerts and festivals.
“On Elton John’s recent AUS/NZ tour, the man himself was heard to say “oooooooh, aaaaaah” at how nice the motors looked in their shiny new yellow and black cases,” Dave said. “Once again Showtools International has assisted a hard-working production company purchase a product that may cost a lot in the beginning but it is already paying off.”
