With big plans brewing (watch this space!) Element ICT has been increasing its inventory and the latest acquisition consists of Cameo Q-Spot 40 spotlights, a punchy 40W static spot with RGBW colour mixing.
The compact Cameo Q-Spot 40 sports a custom lens for a tightly focussed 4.5° beam spread. It comes with two replacement lenses offering versatility and a choice of 10° and 25° angles. Using 16-bit technology, the Q-Spot 40 achieves intense high-definition RGBW colour mixes and ultra-smooth dimming with selectable curves and response. Highly efficient convection cooling ensures silent operation, and the fixture’s 3,600 Hz refresh rate and flicker-free performance make it ideal for motion picture and TV applications.
“Here at Element ICT, we recently identified a gap in our production inventory for a static robust, bright, and configurable narrow beam fixture,” explained Chris Manton. “We were primarily looking for an alternative to using moving head beams or spots for our disco ball installations – and after taking the plunge which an initial order of eight Cameo Spots, we are super impressed with their output, build quality and they’ve already seen work on some high-end boutique productions.”
The Q-Spot 40 provides 5 modes of DMX control, sound activation and master, slave and standalone capability. A convenient infrared remote control unit is available as an accessory. The spotlight features a high-speed strobe function, colour temperature correction and a 4-button OLED display for easy configuration.
“Professional features, such as PowerCon links, RDM configurability and additional lenses to broaden the beam angle, also mean that we’re able to use them as a small but powerful fixture in some circumstances where a larger PAR might otherwise have been specified,” added Chris. “We’re confident that these fixtures will be seeing a lot of work in the coming months!”
