Waves has announced the new Hear Technologies Dante-WSG XS, a compact way to connect Dante audio networks directly to Waves SoundGrid systems in live sound, broadcast and installed applications.
Dante-WSG XS is designed to deliver low-latency audio networking while fitting into streamlined rigs and mobile setups. It supports 64 channels of bidirectional audio between Dante and SoundGrid at 44.1-48 kHz sample rates and 32 channels at 88 to 96 kHz.
Its half-rack design makes it well-suited for flypacks, portable production systems, houses of worship, touring engineers and compact installations where space matters. It measures 8.66 x 1.64 x 8.95 inches (WxHxD) and weighs 3 pounds. It can be mounted on a rack shelf or with optional rack-mount accessories.
