Located within The Sunny Sports Club (formerly Sunnybank Community & Sports Club), SunPAC (Sunnybank Performing Arts and Cultural Centre) is entering an exciting new era.
With a major venue transformation underway, The Sunny is evolving into one of Brisbane’s most dynamic entertainment, hospitality and community destinations. From new dining experiences and gaming promotions to live entertainment, community events and a growing calendar of sporting and performing arts programming, there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.
SunPAC (Sunnybank Performing Arts Centre) is seeking motivated and experienced technicians who are committed to delivering exceptional experiences for our members, guests, performers and community.

Whether you’re operating sound, lighting or overseeing event delivery, you understand that great technical execution plays a critical role in creating memorable experiences.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience working within the live events, entertainment or audiovisual industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in live event production.
- Ability to interpret client, performer and stakeholder requirements and successfully translate these into technical outcomes.
- Experience operating professional audio, lighting and/or video systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, performers and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
- Professional presentation with a customer-focused approach.
- Demonstrated commitment to Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage rostered shifts effectively.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with industry-standard platforms and equipment, including:
- Allen & Heath dLive
- ChamSys Lighting Control
- Roland V-160HD Video Switcher
- Biamp System
- Experience delivering productions across audio, lighting and video disciplines.
- Experience working within performing arts centres, theatres, clubs or multi-purpose entertainment venues.
- Technical supervision or crew leadership experience (for Technical Supervisor applicants).
- Familiarity with cultural, community and multilingual events.
- Additional language skills will be highly regarded.
- Relevant industry qualifications, licences or certifications is highly regarded.
