Fortyfivedownstairs is seeking a highly skilled and motivated technical coordinator who is responsible for overseeing the technical management of the venue. We need someone with a strong understanding of OHS practices in theatre and who can demonstrate practical industry experience.
Essential:
Extensive technical knowledge including a background in lighting, sound and staging.
Excellent organisational & time-management skills.
Occupational Work, Health and Safety practices and code of conduct.
Computer literacy in spreadsheets, word-processing, database and internet/email software (preferably Microsoft products).
Existing industry networks and professional contacts.
Ability to trouble-shoot and think laterally.
Comprehensive knowledge of electrical principals and regulations and building codes and regulations.
Desirable: 1st aid certificate, riggers ticket and a test and tag license.
Applicants should have an ABN and be able to work as a contractor.
