TASCAM announced that its optional IF-ST2110 SMPTE ST 2110 expansion card is now available for the DA-6400 (supported in V3.20), enabling seamless integration of the 64-track recorder/player into modern IP-based broadcast workflows.
Designed to meet the evolving needs of broadcast facilities – both large and small – transitioning to networked audio infrastructures, the IF-ST2110 card allows the DA-6400 to operate within SMPTE ST 2110 environments, supporting ST 2110-30 and AES67 standards. With the addition of the card, the DA-6400 becomes a powerful 64-channel multitrack recorder/player fully compatible with IP-based production systems.
The IF-ST2110 option card supports up to 64 inputs and 64 outputs at 48kHz, or 32 inputs and 32 outputs at 96kHz, delivering flexible, high-channel count performance for demanding broadcast applications. The card is SMPTE ST 2022-7 compliant for network redundancy and supports NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 for device discovery and connection management, ensuring reliable integration within media networks.
Equipped with two dedicated media ports and an independent control port, the IF-ST2110 card is designed for robust and efficient network operation. A built-in Web UI enables streamlined configuration and control, including point-to-point connection capabilities for impactful routing solutions.
The addition of the IF-ST2110 SMPTE expansion card expands TASCAM’s portfolio of broadcast ready solutions for demanding environments. The recorder also supports optional IF-MA64/EX and IF-MA64/BN cards for MADI alongside the IF-DA64 Dante card, all of which can be used in conjunction with the IF-ST2110 card. As a hybrid recorder, the DA-6400 not only bridges the gap between ST 2110 and Dante/MADI systems, but it also serves as a flexible audio format converter to meet the needs of a wide array of production houses.
With the IF-ST2110 expansion card, the DA-6400 also offers the potential to function within hybrid environments where IP and traditional audio formats coexist, giving studios additional options for integrating critical pieces of gear.
