About this opportunity:
The Staging and Sets Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of staging, sets and room configurations across ICC Sydney’s conventions, exhibitions and live entertainment.
Reporting to the Senior AV Technical Manager, this role will manage and supervise a large casual workforce to ensure event spaces are built, turned around and struck safely, efficiently and to specification. At times, you will also liaise directly with clients, suppliers and contractors to ensure production requirements are delivered safely and in line with contractual and technical expectations.
This is a fast?paced, visible role that requires flexibility across event schedules, a strong safety mindset and the ability to lead teams under pressure-while maintaining ICC Sydney’s high standards of service, presentation and professionalism.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar staging, rigging, sets, production or AV leadership role, ideally within live events, entertainment or large?scale venues.
- Proven ability to lead, coordinate and supervise large teams of casual Team Members in fast?paced, time?critical environments.
- Strong knowledge and experience in staging, with the ability to determine fit?for?purpose solutions for complex events.
- Fundamental knowledge of rigging, lighting, sound and audio visual production as you will be working closely with these departments on a daily basis.
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements, contractor management and safe work practices in live event environments.
- Experience managing equipment, resources and inventories, including fault identification, maintenance requirements and hire coordination.
- Demonstrated experience training staff, maintaining operational procedures, and ensuring procedures are current, communicated and consistently adhered to.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage rosters, schedules, labour costs and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Professional presentation and a collaborative, customer?focused mindset aligned to ICC Sydney values.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- You must be 18 years or over.
