YOUR NEW ROLE
Join the team at Sydney Opera House as a Sound Supervisor and help bring world-class performances and events to life. In this dynamic leadership role, you’ll guide and mentor technical teams to deliver exceptional sound and audio-visual production across a diverse program of events. Working collaboratively with production colleagues, you’ll ensure seamless service delivery, uphold technical and WHS standards, and support effective rostering and resource planning. ARE YOU THE ONE?
For this opportunity you will need:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in live theatre or entertainment, with comprehensive technical expertise in sound operation and design.
- Advanced knowledge and application of sound technologies, including design tools, networking protocols, and Audio over IP systems.
- Demonstrated high-level supervisory skills, including successful event delivery and strong understanding of Work Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and decision-making abilities; able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks, with flexibility, physical capability (including working at heights), and commitment to continuous improvement.
