Lux Events is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Audio Technician to join our team.
We are a Perth based live events production company delivering high quality technical solutions for corporate events, concerts, sporting events, festivals, gala dinners and special events. We work locally, nationally and internationally for many of Australia and the world’s most recognised and respected companies. Our reputation is built on technical excellence, professionalism and outstanding client service.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Lead our audio team on event sites and provide technical direction
· Configure, operate and troubleshoot professional audio systems
· Program and operate digital mixing consoles for live events
· Conduct system testing, tuning and optimisation.
· Manage audio preparation and deployment
· Interpret technical drawings and production schedules
· Liaise with clients, production managers, venue staff and event stakeholders
· Ensure all work is completed in accordance with WHS requirements and company procedures
· Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory management and warehouse operations
· Mentor junior technicians and support staff development
· A focus on safety first.
· Working non-traditional hours including weekends and nights.
Technical Skills & Experience:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in professional live event audio
· Strong knowledge of digital mixing platforms e.g. Skilled on Yamaha Consoles, Line array speaker systems and RF microphones
· Knowledge of audio networking protocols including Dante etc.
· Ability to troubleshoot audio systems quickly and effectively
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
