2X Production Technicians
Council is seeking to appoint Two Casual Production Technicians to help bring the regions largest events to life!

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide effective and efficient technical, operations and maintenance support and advice to venue hirers, GECC and the broader Events and Entertainment team, in order to deliver quality productions for hirers, patrons, organisations and residents of the Gladstone region.
Your role will include:
- Promoting a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture and ensure active compliance
- Working with the GECC’s Production team to deliver a wide range of internal and external community and corporate events
- Working in a high paced environment with GECC’s event roster including a wide variety of hours and days
- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the GECC and the production equipment that allows us to deliver the regions best events.
You will bring:
- Certificate III in Live Production and Technical Services (or related discipline), and/or a minimum of two years demonstrated experience working in a production environment within a venue or outdoor event setting.
- Demonstrated high-level customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and effectively engage with a diverse client base.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks required for technical set-ups, pack downs, equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Problem solving skills to effectively address technical matters prior to escalating to the Team Leader.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
- Working safely at heights certification or ability to attain on appointment.
- Basic Rigging (RB) and Dogging (DG) High Risk Work Licence or ability to attain on appointment.
- Working with Children Blue Card or must be eligible and willing to attain on appointment.
- Current accredited First Aid and CPR or ability to attain on appointment.
- Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
