GLP has introduced TWYN, a new dual-face moving head that brings together the capabilities of two of the company’s most successful platforms, the Creos and the JDC Burst 1, in a single motorized system. By combining a high-output RGBL wash with a hybrid strobe, TWYN offers a new approach to light design while significantly reducing the number of fixtures required. TWYN generated exceptional levels of interest during its debut at ISE 2026 in Barcelona. Its dual-face design houses two independent lighting systems in one compact fixture.
TWYN’s full potential is realized when both faces are used simultaneously. While one side operates as a beam or strobe, the other can illuminate surfaces, backdrops, or structures in parallel, producing significantly more complex looks and additional visual layers from a single unit, without the need for extra fixtures. Continuous pan and tilt rotation enables fluid transitions and dynamic movement across the full range.
The fixture reduces not only the number of units required in a setup, but also simplifies planning, logistics, and build. By consolidating multiple functions into a single fixture, investment costs are reduced, truss space requirements are minimized, and the corresponding dead load is kept to a minimum. At 16 kg, TWYN remains compact and easy to deploy, making it well-suited to touring setups, club environments, and mobile productions.
TWYN can be operated free-standing or mounted vertically or horizontally on truss, with two integrated Camlock pairs for fast, flexible rigging. Each unit is supplied with the GLP DRX Dual Sleeve, which accommodates up to six fixtures per standard case and supports a quick build. The IP65-rated housing protects TWYN against rain, dust, dirt, haze fluid, and confetti, making it equally suited to indoor and outdoor use. The unit operates across an ambient temperature range of -10°C to +45°C.
On the EU mains, up to four units can be daisy-chained via powerCON True1. GLP iQ.Mesh and the iQ.Service App provide wireless firmware updates, device status readout, and extended service, configuration, and control options.
“With TWYN, we have created a fixture that perfectly meets the demand for maximum creativity with minimum equipment overhead,” says Udo Künzler, managing director of GLP. “The combination of Creos and JDC Burst 1 in a weatherproof, compact fixture offers unparalleled flexibility and cost-effectiveness for events of any scale.”
