Performance Manager

The Role

We have a exciting role available for a Performance Manager to join our industry leading Australian School of the Arts leadership team contributing to the program supporting students to excel. 

In this role you will provide comprehensive support to The Arts Faculty under the direction of the Director of The Arts to achieve the creative vision of various productions. Working to a standard of excellence within the parameters set by the respective events and activities in line with the values of the broad Arts program.

The Performance Manager is tasked with ensuring the most effective utilisation of resources and systems within the agreed budget, schedule and parameters to deliver all technical and design elements. All whilst continuing to support the department through the coordination and administration of a wide range of events and activities that further support the fulfilment of the College Vision, Mission and Values. 

You will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the production from design through to bump out. Your role is to support the creative vision whilst sticking to the financial and time restraints placed on the event by the broader needs of the College

About you

The Performance Manager is the key manager and coordinator to bring together the resourcing, production, design and technical elements together for all productions and events in the Arts faculty and ASTA professionals program. You will be able to demonstrate artistic flair with logical project management required to coordinate.

Further you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to form strong, positive and respectful relationships with children, families and staff;
  • Ability to be innovative and creative in striving for continual improvement;
  • Highest standards of integrity and professionalism;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills – diplomatic, resourceful and adaptable;
  • Excellent time management, organisational and planning skills, with the ability to be flexible, adapt to varying workloads, and to effectively manage multiple tasks whilst working to deadlines and under pressure;

Experience and Qualifications to demonstrate or demonstrate ability to learn are:

  • Strong industry connections and relationships with various professional companies and established networking skills demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficient knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office, Windows, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign;
  • Diverse technical knowledge, including experience in AV, LX, Stage, Music Equipment, Rigging, SFX including Pyrotechnics to an industry professional standard;
  • Ability to teach in ASTA Professionals CPA co-curricular program desirable;
  • Eligible to hold a Working with Children Blue Card
