The casual Theatre Technician provides technical support for performances, events and venue operations at Blue Mountains Theatre. Working under the direction of the Technical Coordinator, the position delivers high-quality technical services across lighting, sound, audiovisual and staging, ensuring productions are presented safely, professionally and in accordance with venue standards.
The role supports a diverse range of professional productions, community events and venue hirers by providing technical expertise, maintaining venue equipment and infrastructure, and contributing to a safe, efficient and customer-focused working environment.
We are seeking skilled Audio Technicians and Lighting Technicians with experience in live production, including lighting, sound, audiovisual and staging. You’ll be safety-focused, customer-oriented and able to interpret technical documentation, support performances, operate theatre equipment, work collaboratively, and be available for evening and weekend shifts across a seven-day roster.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $37.44 gross per hour
+ 25% casual loading
+ 12% superannuation
+ annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
+ annual award increase
