Production Coordinator

About the Opportunity

Join us in shaping the future of one of regional Western Australia’s premier performing arts venues.

As Production Coordinator, you’ll lead the delivery of technical and production services at HEART (Hub of Entertainment, Arts and Regional Tourism), working at the centre of an exciting program of performances, festivals, community events and cultural experiences.

You’ll provide leadership to a skilled technical team, build strong partnerships with Arts Margaret River and a diverse range of artists, hirers and stakeholders, and play a key role in ensuring every production is delivered safely, professionally and to a high standard.

This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on operational leadership with strategic planning, overseeing budgets, contracts, venue operations and continuous improvement while helping to grow a vibrant arts and cultural destination for the Margaret River community.

Job Title: Production Coordinator (HR 56/26)

Location: Nala Bardip Mia – Margaret River HEART, Western Australia

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: IA Level 8 $104,668 – $113,296

Direct Reports: 5 permanent staff and a pool of casual technicians

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and manage the performance of an operational team to create a high-performing, positive and safe work culture (including staff, contractors, volunteers and casual technicians)
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic planning and budgets and implement operational plans, including governance, risk management and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of technical production and event/venue coordination in a fast-paced arts and cultural multifunctional venue
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation, policy and processes, and experience overseeing WHS compliance in an operational team environment.
