General Event Crew, Stagehands, Concert Crew

About the role

Ever wondered what it takes to put a concert on stage?

Join our team for the 2026/27 summer season.

You’ll be working behind the scenes at some of Sydney’s biggest concerts, festivals and live events — learning how the production comes together from the ground up.

You’ll be employed, trained and managed by our team. We don’t recruit or place workers with other companies.

Learn the world behind the stage

This is an opportunity to get hands-on experience across different areas of live event production, including:

  • ? Sound and audio
  • ? Lighting
  • ? Video, screens and visual production
  • ? Staging
  • ? Backline and musical equipment
  • ?? Event set-up and production
  • ? Concert bump-ins and bump-outs
  • ? Live event operations

No previous experience is required. We’ll train you.

You’ll work alongside experienced crew and learn how the different technical and production elements come together to deliver a live show.

What you’ll get

  • $32.18 –$61.99 per hour, depending on the work the amounts of hours you have worked and applicable award conditions
  • Casual employment directly with Showcall Crewing
  • Flexible shifts based on event schedules and your availability
  • Minimum 4-hour paid shifts
  • Training and hands-on experience
  • Opportunities to work at major concerts, festivals and live events
  • Practical experience across sound, lighting, video, staging and backline
  • The opportunity to develop skills and experience in the live entertainment industry
  • A professional, supportive and safety-focused team

Pay rates and conditions are in accordance with the Live Performance Award and applicable employment conditions.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need a production résumé.

We’re interested in people who are:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Physically capable and comfortable with hands-on work
  • Keen to learn
  • Interested in music, concerts, entertainment or production
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Available for evenings, weekends and event days
  • Willing to follow safety procedures and instructions
  • This is not an office job. It’s a hands on job.

Previous event, production, theatre or technical experience is welcome — but it’s not essential.

Our crew work at major venues across Sydney, including:

Accor Stadium • ENGIE Stadium • Allianz Stadium • Sydney Cricket Ground • Qudos Bank Arena • ICC Sydney • Hordern Pavilion • Enmore Theatre • Metro Theatre • State Theatre

…and other major live-event locations throughout Sydney.

The 2026/27 season includes a huge range of concerts, festivals and major events, with further events being added throughout the season.

You’ll be part of the team that gets the venue ready before the audience arrives — and helps pack it all away when the show is over.

You’ll learn new skills, meet people who work in the industry and get to experience live entertainment from the other side of the stage.
