Follow-Me, leader in tracking solutions, announces that Golden Sea, publicly listed in China and a global powerhouse in live entertainment technology, has acquired a majority stake in the company. The agreement, which was concluded today, 8th September, sees Golden Sea add the fixture agnostic tracking specialist to its portfolio of complimentary best-in-class brands. Follow-Me retains its independent status, whilst gaining R&D resources and manufacturing capacity to develop and deliver the technological advancements live entertainment demands faster and more broadly.
Now in its tenth year of operation, Follow-Me has gained a reputation for delivering fixture agnostic solutions that are firmly tailored to the needs of the live entertainment market, from its Track-iT auto tracking system, to its most recent development, DELT?, the latest generation of its manual performer tracking system.
The union of Follow-Me and Golden Sea will span the full production ecosystem of live entertainment, from touring, events, theatre, broadcast, themed entertainment and permanent installations. It brings Golden Sea’s entertainment lighting technology expertise and Follow-Me’s intelligent performer tracking systems together. This combination of global reach and specialist depth will scale market penetration and accelerate growth, allowing Follow-Me to make its performer tracking systems accessible to new market segments and a broader range of users.

Follow-Me will continue to be headquartered in the Netherlands, with the current team remaining and set to expand in the near future. Erik Berends continues as Co-founder and Technical Director, with Marc van der Wel as Managing Director. Co-founder Gary Yates, who has been central to building what Follow-Me is today, will step down as Director, but will remain as a close advisor to the board.
