Event Project Manager

Harry the Hirer Productions NSW is looking for an experienced Event Project Manager who can step in, take ownership and confidently deliver complex live events from initial brief through to completion.

Working across exhibitions, corporate events, live entertainment, music, arts and sporting events, you will manage high-profile projects involving lighting, power, rigging, audio and video production.

This is a hands-on delivery role for an established Project Manager who understands the pace, pressure and detail required to successfully execute live events. You will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating internal teams and resources, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring each project is delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

About the role

You will take full ownership of your projects from conception through to delivery and removal, including:

  • Managing client relationships and project expectations
  • Developing project plans, schedules and delivery timelines
  • Coordinating labor, equipment, logistics and technical resources
  • Managing project and labor budgets
  • Leading crews and contractors on site
  • Identifying and resolving operational challenges
  • Maintaining clear communication across clients, suppliers and internal teams
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, professionally and on schedule


What we’re looking for

This position is suited to an experienced Event Project Manager who is ready to contribute from day one.

You will have:

  • Proven experience managing complex live events, productions or technical event projects
  • Strong knowledge of event logistics, planning and resource allocation
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing event sites
  • Confidence managing budgets, labor forecasts and project costs
  • The ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong client service and relationship management skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take full responsibility for project outcomes
  • Availability to work days, evenings and weekends as required

Experience working with technical production services such as lighting, audio, video, rigging or event power will be highly regarded.
