The Gallery Vivid

The Gallery at Crown Sydney features Mandylights’ lighting design incorporating nearly seventy animated gobo projectors along Wulugul Walk at Barangaroo Sydney.

The gallery of light projections features First Nations and emerging local artists from Western Sydney.

Artworks have been created by Solid Ground Program participants from Evans High School Blacktown, Chifley College Dunheved Campus, Chifley College Bidwill Campus and the Baabayn Aboriginal Corporation ‘Young Mums and Bubs’ group. The collated designs reflect the community and show a diversity of techniques, compositions and styles.

Using Mandylights’ unique mPatt projectors, over a hundred and forty custom dichroic glass gobos were produced to display unique pieces of art. The entire installation is remotely managed via a Mandylights’ mNode 4G control system which allows them to monitor and trigger show playback from their Vivid control room over a kilometre away from the site.

Mandylights say that they’re grateful for the opportunity to work with Crown and their events team to help deliver such a meaningful, beautiful artwork.

The Gallery is live as part of Vivid Sydney every night until June 18, 2022.
