Right from the very beginning of Innovative Production Services, Jeremy and Brendan have always had the philosophy that a cable is not allowed to fail on a job. When the company first started, the directors themselves made each and every cable to a standard that meant when onsite, if something went wrong, checking a cable would be the last thing you would do as we knew with absolute confidence that a cable would not be the cause of a problem.
This same principle had to exist in every aspect of their Hybrid Broadcast Truck, 4Kone. Innovative called in the experts at Beyond Network Solutions to install the ‘nervous system’ of a very complex truck build.
Using the best Cat6A and fibre cabling, Siemon, a stunning layer of cabling infrastructure has been installed in 4Kone that has allowed Innovative to build an amazing solution for broadcast, hybrid and live events!
The truck is a 4K standard truck with the ability to operate audio, switch cameras, record and handle multimedia all in one location. With such a purpose-built application and so much technical ability, it was a requirement to build out the data cabling right from the beginning to support all of the hardware not only within the truck but also to interface with venues’ in-house patching.
The truck has since gone on to be the backbone of events for IBM, TedX Sydney, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and many others!
