Gather Round Spectacular

The Gather Round spectacular arena show in Adelaide was produced by JamTV and broadcast by the Nine Network at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Daniel Saveski led the lighting and production design. Inspired by the Adelaide Oval the design featured four light towers represented by truss pods lined with GLP impression Bar10s and Molefays. The curvature of the stadium was depicted by curved LED screens and the grandstand’s height was represented by column screens.

PRG Australia provided the lighting equipment with Creative Technology supplying the LED screens.

The show utilized a full-size MA3 console with an MA3 light as tracking backup, while Colourblind’s Green Hippo media servers ran from an MA3 compact XT with full tracking backup.

All consoles ran flawlessly on the new software v2.

Daniel invested in Cue points which proved invaluable for streamlining cue plotting and labelling allowing for efficient timecoding for the musical numbers of the show.

The rig: 34 x Aryton Perseo profile, 22 x Claypaky Unico, 22 x Claypaky Sharpy, 12 x Martin MAC Aura XB, 30 x Martin MAC Quantum Wash, 7 x PRG Best Boy HP, 1 x PRG Bad Boy Ground Control Followspot, 37 x ShowPRO Blinders, 42 x Claypaky Sharpy Wash 330, 32 x GLP impression Bar 10.
