CURRENT CALCULATIONS
Wysiwyg now calculates the amount of Current (Amperes) required by fixtures, based on their operating Voltage. It is possible to select the voltage at which fixtures operate. Until now, this was only possible by changing the Lamp selection for conventional fixtures.
SELECTABLE DMX UNIVERSE RANGES
When Using Art-Net, sACN or a MA-Net (with the grandMA3 viz-key) in R48, it is possible to connect to universes above 255/256, up to the protocol’s capacity, respecting Wysiwyg’s DMX channel capacity of 131,072 DMX channels. The DMX ranges can be separated and assigned to different teams, purposes, tech, etc.
BATCH EXPORT FOR CAMERAS
It is now possible to export Images from all Standard Cameras and the World Camera at once. Images will be saved in .PNG format.
16-BIT ADDRESSING FOR LIGHT EMISSION AND ADDITIONAL COLOUR MODES
Light Emission can be patched with 16-bit control for Colour, Intensity, or both. New additional colour modes have also been added:
RBG, GBR, GRB, BRG, BGR, RGBwW, RGBcW, RGBWA, RGBAcW, RGBcWA, RGBAwW, RGBwWA.
SELECT FROM SELECTED
This feature allows selection from within the set of items that are currently selected and improves efficiency both for on-the-fly selection, as well as for creating Selection Sets.
To use: Select any number of items, hold down SHIFT, and right-click; now the different Select options in the right-click menu will only allow selection within the items that were already selected.
VERTEX AND FACE COUNTS FOR 3D OBJECTS
Tooltips now display the Vertex and Face counts of 3D objects, including those inserted from the Library. This information can be invaluable for scene analysis when trying to determine which object(s) may be responsible for poor Shaded View performance.
To use: Hover the cursor over any 3D object and wait for the tooltip to appear
MOVE FIXTURES BETWEEN THE FLOOR AND HANG STRUCTURES
Now in CAD mode it is possible to move a fixture from floor to hang structure and vice-versa. This works only when a single fixture is selected; in order for a fixture to move to the floor, it must be able to insert on the floor (from the Library Browser) in the first place.
CONVERT SPLINES TO PIPES
This conversion tool helps you create pipes in any curvy shape needed. To use: Select any Spline, click the TOOLS menu, click Convert and then click Splines into Pipes.
ADDITIONS TO SNAP FUNCTIONS
Snapping functions have been expanded to allow:
Centre Snap to catch the volumetric centre of Risers and Spheres.
Midpoint Snap to catch the midpoint of an Arc along its length.
Endpoint Snap catches the endpoints of Curved Pipes.
To use: Activate the necessary Snap(s) as usual and hover around the different points to snap to them.
CONVERT ARCS TO (SEMI-CIRCULAR OR SEMI-ELLIPTICAL) SURFACES
This conversion tool helps you transform any Arc into Surface. To use it click Tools>Convert>Arcs into Surfaces.
GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES
