Jands Pty Ltd, one of Australia’s leading manufacturers and distributors of professional audio, lighting and staging products, is seeking a vibrant Workshop Assistant/Service Triage professional to join the Service Department.
This is the perfect opportunity for anyone with a passion for all things technical to join a professional Service Department.
Specifically, the duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- receive, store, check faults, repair (if applicable) and distribute goods received for service department;
- triage of goods returned for repair/service and keep track of items repair/service history by serial number;
- create service calls jobs for items that arrive without repair numbers;
- undertake initial testing and troubleshooting of products and liaise with customers in regards to faults of returned goods when faults cannot be found during triage or the fault description inadequate;
- Assist with spare parts logistics, including picking, packing and dispatch.
- The unpacking and storage of Spare Parts within the Service Warehouse
- Creating New Locations for new Spare Parts.
- perform repairs to items and apply tech notes and modifications under instruction/supervision from technicians;
- assist customers with incoming and outgoing repairs, including customers loading and unpacking of bulky items;
- assist with the general upkeep of the Service Warehouse;
- undertake pre-delivery checks on products; and,
- undertake designated clerical duties as required.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Knowledge of TNT TransAction, TNT Webtracker system, Federal Express. (desirable, but not essential).
- Intermediate level of computer literacy, coupled with experience using Pronto Enterprise Management System (desirable, but not essential).
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
