Waves Audio has announced new V16 plugins that are designed to enhance workflow efficiency and streamline the mixing process, introducing usability enhancements that provide clearer visuals and improved control for the catalogue of more than 240 plugins.
To help ensure consistent output levels and eliminate disruptive loudness jumps, V16 integrates Auto Makeup Gain into five compressors: CLA-2A compressor/limiter, CLA-3A compressor/limiter, CLA-76 compressor/limiter, Abbey Road RS124 compressor, and V-Comp.
Additionally, the COSMOS Sample Finder organiser and browser now operates as a plugin within DAWs, enabling sample auditioning, in sync with session key and tempo. The updated COSMOS also offers reduced scan times, auto-grouping of identical audio, an updated interface, and performance enhancements designed to provide a smoother workflow.
V16 introduces free-form corner-drag resizing across all Waves plugins, enabling users to customise plugin window sizes to suit their workspace preferences. Moreover, Waves has modernised new interfaces for the V-Series bundle, including V-COMP, V-EQ3 and V-EQ4, along with IR-Live convolution reverb, and MaxxBass. They’re designed to offer enhanced clarity while preserving their classic sound.
V16 is compatible with the latest operating systems and DAWs.
