Wireless Solution Sweden AB is showing both new products and some product advancements to their product range during Prolight + Sound, March 21-24, at Messe Frankfurt, in Hall 11, stand D80.
The company has been working on a new software platform since October 2011 that the company says is prepared for future hardware functions as well as many new features and updated functions. The W-DMX G4S software platform includes:
• An improved adaptive frequency hopping algorithm that improves the plug-and-play use in crowded radio spectrum situations and better avoids interference from Wi-Fi, DECT phones, intercom, and more.
• A new invisi-wire MK2 with support for wireless software updates, which in the future will make it possible to perform wireless software updates to all receivers, with an easy connection to the transmitters with all receivers updated at the same time.
• Data-safe MK2 is improved and now supports up to four times redundancy of all the wireless data with a new watchdog function that ensures all receivers will have the highest fidelity.
• RDM MK2 – offers new software with custom made features for W-DMX as well as all standard RDM commands. Fast discovery and support up to 128 RDM responders and more, the company says.
W-DMX G4S is a new platform, that according to the company, has the lowest latency in the market under 5ms, and is available for a software update on all existing Micro F-1, BlackBox, WhiteBox, and ProBox. With the new software, all non-approved, unofficial brands using W-DMX technology will no longer be compatible, which the company says is to keep the technology at a supreme quality control level. The new software is patent protected in Europe as well United States.
W-DMX Slot In is a new, patent-pending module that makes it easy to retrofit for the market and is available for both transmitters and receivers. With an extremely small investment, manufacturers can prepare all units for the W-DMX Slot In and clients can later purchase the module.
BlackBox MK2 is a flexible wireless product. It supports: Quicklock Clamp, DIN Rail installation, as well as rack mount — all from one unit. Pure plug-and-play. The new MK2 is delivered standard with both five-pin and three-pin DMX to fit the global needs for different DMX cables. It also comes standard with Neutric Powercon and Ethercon.
ProBox F-2500 had its world premiere at Super Bowl 2012 and high volume production began in March 2012. This flagship of W-DMX products offers not only DMX and RDM, but supports both input an output of Ethernet protocols like Art-Net as well as s/ACN. More protocols will be added in the future. With a built-in BlueBox controller, it gives users the ability to have a complete RDM controller that uses your PC-based browser for user configuration and many additional features, all packed inside a 19″ 1U rack format.
Niclas Arvidsson, CEO of Wireless Solution, says, “We are very excited to show these advancements and new product offerings at Prolight + Sound. We know that users of this technology will appreciate the fact that we listen to what they want in our products and we deliver what they need.”
