Hobart production company Vjam has taken delivery of eight Martin RUSH MH 3 Beams to add to their extensive family of Martin MAC fixtures.
The Martin RUSH MH 3 Beam is a powerful beam moving head that blasts an intense and narrow long-throw beam for spectacular mid-air looks and effects. It houses a fixed gobo wheel and colour wheel with a multitude of effects possible from a dimmer and strobe, frost, zoom, 8-facet prism and focus.
“We wanted another lighting effect particularly the beam look that everyone seems to want these days,” commented Nick Morse, director of Vjam. “Being a small Tasmanian company we really couldn’t afford Sharpys and the RUSH Beams are half the price.
“The RUSH Beams allow us to be a lot more creative as they can deliver several looks from a tight beam to a flower effect to a frosted beam. I like how bright they are whilst drawing little power. They’re also small which is good for corporate work.”
The photos show the Martin RUSH MH 3 Beams more than holding their own amongst a variety of Martin MAC fixtures used to light a corporate function. The event was held at Hobart’s Princess Wharf No. 1 Shed with 32 MAC101 LED moving yoke fixtures in the roof to deliver a room look. On stage there were 8 x MAC2000 wash on the back truss, 8 x MAC250 Entour on the floor at the back of the stage, the front truss held 6 x MAC600 and 10 x MAC700 were located around the room. The four Martin RUSH MH 3 Beam fixtures were situated either side of the stage on plinths.
