The Opportunity
The Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre is an award-winning facility, being named Australian Performing Arts Centre of the Year 2019.
The Venue Technician is responsible for providing hands-on support for shows and events as well as setting up and operating audio, lighting, vision and staging equipment at Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre and Wellington Civic Centre.
In this role, there will be an opportunity to:
Facilitate the set up and operation of audio and lighting equipment for shows and events;
Work with clients to meet the technical requirements of their event within the parameters of the venues;
Ensure assets and infrastructure are maintained, repaired or replaced to ensure a safe, flexible and efficient working environment; and
Interpret technical requirements and scheduling information and resources for incoming productions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Experience and knowledge of the setup and operation of at least one of the following disciplines – audio, lighting, vision or staging equipment and systems in a theatrical or events environment;
The capacity and willingness to learn the other disciplines to a high standard;
Basic computer and administrative skills; and
Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to work a 76 hour fortnight, Monday to Sunday with a roster based on the events schedule.

Salary: $51,389 – $59,721 per annum plus superannuation.
