Part Time 30hrs (4 Days p/w)- Onsite Position
Salary: 90k pro rata + 11.5% superannuation
City Recital Hall is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Venue Technician to join our dynamic technical team. Reporting to the Head of Technical, this full-time role is pivotal in maintaining the venue’s production equipment, AV systems, and technical infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring WHS compliance, supporting maintenance projects, and providing hands-on technical assistance during events. This role requires strong organisational and troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of safety protocols, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required. To be considered for this position, you should possess;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a performing arts technical workshop environment
- Strong project and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- In depth knowledge of key technical production areas; Sound/AV, Lighting, Staging, Production Management.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems independently
- Solid understanding of WHS systems and safety procedures
- Effective decision-making under pressure
