About the role
As a Venue Technician you will be required to deliver fantastic customer service to the people of Logan City. You will be required to operate professional technical equipment in Logan City Councils premier event venues Logan Entertainment Centre and Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct.
This dynamic role will require you to be flexible, with hours made up operating on shows, supervising, assisting on venue turnarounds and set ups and performing general equipment maintenance.
About You
If you have a broad knowledge of all technical disciplines with highly developed operating, planning and designing skills in Lighting and/or Audio – we want to hear from you!
Your hours will include weekend and night work and your style will be collaborative and team focused with a willingness to contribute on a professional level and give guidance and advice to team members.
You will also require highly developed negotiation skills and the ability to cooperate and liaise with people from all walks of life. You will be a key team member of a small group of dedicated professionals.
We are seeking candidates who possess the following experience/qualifications:
- Extensive experience in similar role operating shows in professional venues
- Hold a current license to operate elevated work platform (EWP Ticket).
- Possession of a current 30215 General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) ticket
- Previous experience operating either Hog 4 lighting console & grandMA3 lighting console or Yamaha CL5 audio console are highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Takes pride in presentation, being well presented and professional is priority.
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster including weekends, early morning and night shifts.
- Ability to undergo a Fitness Capacity Assessment/Medical.
