Venue Technician

We’re looking for an exceptional Casual Venue Technician, with expertise in all areas of corporate staging and events, to join our passionate team in delivering an outstanding guest experience in Felons Barrel Hall. Felons Barrel Hall offers a modern take on a German beer hall, as well as corporate functions, special events and live music.

Key Responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide high quality technical services as directed by the Production Manager.
  • Coordinate and support clients’ requirements during events and other activities in the Barrel Hall and across the site.
  • Ensure safe work practices are observed in line with the Venue’s policies and procedures and relevant regulations.
  • Assist with the maintenance of technical equipment, and ensure resources are operating effectively.
  • Provide an efficient, safe, and welcoming working environment for venue customers, event clients and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work effectively as a member of a team as well as independently.


What we’re looking for: 

  • Experienced (5+ years) working in the entertainment and events industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a conference centre, hotel or corporate staging company.
  • Demonstrated competency in operating audio-visual equipment in both corporate events and live music settings. 
  • Knowledge of audio, vision, lighting and systems administration.
  • Highly developed customer service skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • A creative team player and problem solver;
  • Ability to work a flexible week including weekends.


No minimum qualifications are mandatory to the position however the following are desirable: 

  • High Risk Work License(Rigging, Dogging, EWP)
  • EWP(VL) Operator License
  • Restricted Electrical Work License
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Driver’s License
