The Role
We are seeking an experienced Venue Support Technician to join our Brisbane team. This is a hands-on, client facing role giving you the opportunity to collaborate with others in various aspects of corporate events and to further your skills in hybrid and virtual event solutions.
Your responsibilities will include planning and executing the technical and non-technical aspects of room setups and virtual events, supporting the Venue Manager with the daily operation of the venue and assisting clients and instructors with their requests during their events to ensure a remarkable experience is brought to life.
On a day-to-day level, you will be involved in:
- Planning and coordinating events including technical and non-technical set-up and equipment requirements.
- Working collaboratively within our Operations team to ensure event venue is set up and well-maintained throughout the day and that technology is operating correctly.
- Welcoming clients on arrival, ensuring they have everything they need for their event and actioning any additional requests.
- Providing client-facing technical supervision for events that require virtual connections, video or phone conferencing.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing any hardware, software and network issues
About you
As our ideal candidate you’ll have well-rounded technical and client service experience gained within corporate events, hospitality or similar fast-paced working environment.
In addition, you will have:
- Proven experience working in a primarily Windows based environment
- A solid knowledge of networking – TCP/IP, DHCP
- A solid understanding of audio-visual fundamentals and technologies with the ability to coordinate multi-premise video-conferencing solutions across in-person and virtual environments
- Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service focus
- Calmness under pressure, and able to make intelligent and effective decisions
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work unsupervised as part of an overall team to achieve
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as the business requires
- Be physically fit and able to perform corporate event room setups
- Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a valid medical exemption
