Bell Shakespeare is seeking an experienced Venue and Operations Manager to join the Company’s Production team at one of the most exciting times in the Company’s history.
Currently based in The Rocks, Bell Shakespeare will move to brand new, purpose-built premises at Pier 2/3, Walsh Bay in late 2021/early 2022. Here the Company will be singularly located across a 4-level tenancy as part of the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct.
Reporting to the Head of Production, the Venue and Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of these premises which include rehearsal and performance studios, production workshops, shared public spaces, and the Company’s administrative headquarters.
This is an opportunity to join the Company at a time of considerable expansion and change, and an appetite to proactively support the establishment of our new premises in the role of Venue and Operations Manager will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will have an ability to work efficiently and logically, managing our premises, key service provider contracts, and working collegially across all departments within the Company, as well as with our Walsh Bay co-tenants. You will have experience in building and venue management, have a sound knowledge and experience in the IT environment, and have knowledge of the Microsoft Office platform, SharePoint.
With an ability to support Company activity and that of external clients and hirers, the Venue and Operations Manager will ensure the Company’s facilities and operations are safe and compliant.
