The Empire Theatre is the largest performing arts precinct in regional Australia and boasts several performance and function spaces. Renowned for its classic art deco architecture, the heritage-listed theatre is the jewel of the Darling Downs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an iconic multi-venue precinct – Toowoomba’s own Empire Theatre and be part of a dedicated team and performing outstanding sound, lighting, staging and audiovisuals to our community.
If this seems of interest to you, you will need to have a strong desire to learn and succeed as a team member whilst undertaking a 12-month Certificate III in Live Production and Services commencing in March 2022.
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate:
- Sound English language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Basic keyboard and computer operations skills.
- An understanding of interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Initiative and basic problem solving skills.
- Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland – C Class driving licence.
- Attain a Positive Notice Blue Card
Therefore, only applicants who are eligible to complete a Cert III Traineeship and have not completed previous formal qualifications should apply. This role will suit a school leaver.
