Theatre Technicians LX & Audio

Audio Theatre Technician

About the role

As ‘Theatre Technician’ you will be part of the Ipswich Civic Centre team, and will be responsible for Setup, Design and Operations, your main focus will be on Audio Production for performances and functions.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to all facets of technical production with a key responsibility of Audio Services
  • Assist with Bump in and out of events
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment and facilities

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership

  • Knowledge and operation skills with Digico audio consoles and related systems
  • Knowledge of QLAB and similar systems
  • Experience operating live events ranging from bands to corporate functions
  • Experience with Audio Visual, Lighting and Stage practices of event delivery

Lighting Theatre Technician

About the role

As ‘Theatre Technician’ you will be part of the Ipswich Civic Centre team, and will be responsible for Setup, Design and Operations, your main focus will be on Lighting Production for performances and functions.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to all facets of technical production with a key responsibility of Audio Services
  • Assist with Bump in and out of events
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment and facilities

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership
  • Knowledge and operation skills with Grand MA 2 consoles and related systems
  • Experience preparing a lighting rig inclusive of pre-rig, focus and patching
  • Knowledge of QLAB and similar systems
  • Experience operating live events ranging from bands to corporate functions
  • Experience with Audio Visual, Audio and Stage practices of event delivery

For both roles, you will require:

  • Queensland “C” Class drivers’ licence
  • Working with Children Check – Issue of Blue Card and Positive Notice Letter (issued by the Queensland Government) or Exemption Card
  • A pre-employment medical

These roles are casual, Grade 3 with an attractive salary package of $35.47 per hour (including loading) plus superannuation of up to 10%.
