Theatre Technicians

Position: Theatre Technicians
Location: Bundaberg
Employment Type: Casual
Remuneration:
• $32.38 per hour
• Plus up to 12% Council Superannuation Contribution (Local Government Conditions apply to superannuation)

The Position:

  • To support technical and venue operations ensuring efficient and effective delivery of technical services to clients.
  • To set up and operate lighting, sound, projection, rigging and mechanical equipment under supervision of the Senior Technician.
  • To assist with bumping in and out live events.
  • To assist with venue and asset maintenance activities.
  • To undertake general duties to assist in the operation of the venue as directed.
  • Due to the nature of the industry, it is a requirement of the position to be available at nights and weekends and to be flexible with work arrangements.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in technical theatre work.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer/client service.
  • Demonstrated competence in using Windows desktop software applications.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and workflows.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively and present a customer focused approach to people at all levels within the public and private sectors.
  • Ability to work flexible hours appropriate for the operation of the venue.
