Theatre Technician Trainee

Gladstone Regional Council is proud to help facilitate the upskilling of our region in a diverse range of roles and across a variety of Council locations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an organisation to that is committed to delivering outstanding service to our community.

Council has an opportunity to appoint a maximum-term full time Theatre Technician Trainee to contribute to Councils success in producing theatrical, outdoor and corporate events. This traineeship opportunity is for a 1-year period to undertake a Cert III Live Production and Services and is based at the Gladstone Entertainment and Convention Centre. The employment contract will commence on Monday 7 February 2022.

Working with the GECC’s technical team, you will be supporting a wide variety of events giving you broad industry experience. You will be working on large festival events such as Luminous and Harbour Festival, as well as large scale Musical Theatre. In addition, you will be supporting corporate events, functions, concerts and Theatre productions. The experience gained working with our technical team will prepare you for any path you wish to choose within the live production industry.

About you

Council is looking for motivated candidates with a strong desire to learn and succeed as a team member within Council.
