Theatre Technician Trainee

Position Summary

Council has an opportunity to appoint a maximum term full-time Theatre Technician Trainee based at the Gladstone Entertainment and Convention Centre.  The purpose of the position is to provide support services to Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre while undertaking a traineeship to complete a Certificate III in Live Production and Services. It is anticipated the employment contract will commence in April 2021 for a 12-month period.

About you

Council are looking for motivated candidates with a strong desire to learn and succeed as a team member within Council. Other capabilities we welcome are commitment, integrity and honesty with the ability to meet deadlines, good communication and interpersonal skills and an interest in the working environment.

Essential Criteria

  1. Demonstrate sound English language, literacy and numeracy skills.
  2. Basic keyboard and computer operations skills.
  3. An understanding of interpersonal and customer service skills.
  4. Initiative and basic problem-solving skills.
  5. Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
